Seldom does one get the chance to acquire a stellar Nigerian Dwarf goat in the prime of her life. Shae Tebbetts of Ol' Bear Tree Naturals graciously offerred us the chance to bring home to our herd GCH Rosasharn TL Uridice 3*M/4*D, and we will forever be grateful for the true opportunity and pleasure of having her here!
So where do I begin to try to put words to her beauty and genetic merit? Well, most recently she was awarded Best in Show at the 2012 Arkansas State Fair after winning the Champion Challenge class and Best Udder! In 2011, she earned her GCH under 3 different judges competing against mature milking does. She also earned her AR milking stars for milk, butterfat and protein that year. In addition, I must not leave out that in 2009 she gave birth to our own Rosasharn SP Cleisthenes *B, who himself has sired lovely offspring, RHV CS Golden Topaz 2012 VVEV 87 and RHV CS Prince Charming 2012 V+E 88.
In addition to her own accomplishments, her full sisters have demonstrated the genetic merit of the Uni x Tiger L breeding. Rosasharn's Unagi 3*M earned Breed Leader status for production with ADGA in 2006, and with AGS in 2004, 2005 and 2007. SG AGS Rosasharn's TL Ulani 3*M earned Breed Leader status for production with ADGA in 2007 and 2008 and with AGS in 2008. And their mother, SGCH/ARMCH Rosasharn's Uni 2*M/3*D has demonstrated phenomenal production throughout her lifetime earning Breed Leader status with ADGA in 2006 though 2009 and with AGS in 2002 through 2009. She still holds lifetime the butterfat production record, and completed her 12th lactation (!) in 2012.
Unfortunately, Uridice had a single kid, DOA by c-section in 2013. While we are thrilled that she survived and overcame the odds of going septic due to the schistostomus reflexus kid, she never did come into full milk. Uridice was bred to our +*B Rosasharn BB Cento son, RHV CTO Show-Me Flourish out of Chenango-Hills Lizabet. She delivered 2 lovely doelings, RHV SMF Daichi and RHV SMF Yuki. I can hardly wait to see how these girls mature! Uridice also accepted a grafted kid (one of quadruplets) and mothered her as her own!
