I woke up one morning to "blegh". I've heard that sound many times before. Took a look out the bedroom window, and sure enough, Sunkissed was in delivery (!). I throw on yesterday's clothes and run out to help this first freshener deliver. She had developed an udder, but I thought she was just another yearling with a precocious udder since I was not aware that she was exposed to anyone. Upon first inspection, I thought this doeling was black and white with a couple of silver moonspots. It wasn't long before I realized that she was chocolate. Aha! - a clue to who her sire might be...
Her sire was confirmed to be Dragonfly IH Perfect Storm *S by DNA analysis. That suits me fine, as I didn't get to keep a doeling sired by Storm in 2012. Now to watch as this cutie grows up to reach her potential!
Curiosity was bred to Poppy Patch Rollick'N'Roll for spring 2014 kids. She freshened with buck/doe twins and even accepted a graft from another mother!
